Welcome to Running Wild Ranch!

Running Wild Ranch sprawls along the Powder River in the Southeastern corner of Montana, USA.  The ranch consists of alfalfa fields along the river bottoms and summer pastures dotted with cottonwood trees.

Together with our two Great Pyrenees guard dogs, we summer pasture over 200 head of sheep along 18 miles of the Powder River.

For over fifteen years, we have been selecting and breeding Cormo sheep.  The objective of our breeding program is to further propogate a hardy, fine fleece animal.  In 1998, we began having our Cormo wool processed into roving and yarn.  The response we have had to these wool products has been phenomenal.  Recently, we began blending our Cormo wool with Angora rabbit and Alpaca fiber to create luscious feeling, wonderfully soft yarns.

We presently raise 65 head of Purebred Cormo sheep, Angora rabbits, Huacaya & Suri Alpacas, and commercial sheep.  We do offer breeding stock and other animals for sale periodically.  Check our stock for sale section or contact us for more information.
